In line with firming global rates, the fuel prices have hiked. It has been reported that the petrol prices have been hiked by 36 paise per litre and that of diesel by 87 paise per litre. The said effect is going to be implemented from the midnight starting from today. There is a general concept that there would be no hike in the prices in India, if the price remained constant, but it the prices increased in the international market, then Indian prices would also see a hike. On the other hand, every fortnight, fuel retailers review petrol and diesel prices and adjust local prices to the global rates of the products.
