A private hospital in Haryana allegedly paid Rs 200 each to villagers to act as patients. The hospital resorted to these malpractices to get approval for medical college. According to Medical Council of India norms a medical college admitting 100 MBBS students must have 600 beds with 70 per cent occupancy. The hospital management has denied the allegations and government ordered a probe into the entire episode.
