North India has been experiencing tremors frequently. Now a powerful earthquake of 7.5 magnitude with epicentre in Afghanistan has killed nearly 150 people, including 12 Afghan schoolgirls, who were crushed in a stampede as they tried to flee their collapsing school. The earthquake shook north India for almost a minute and a seismologist stated that the quakes are becoming more frequent as the Indian plate is moving closer to the Asian plate.
