The rates of pulses are skyrocketting in both the Telugu states. The rates have almost doubled, with Tur Dal selling at Rs. 200 a kilo, Moong Dal at Rs. 150 per kilo and Udad Dal at Rs. 200 a kilo. Blackmarketeers are cashing in on the hike in rates and are stocking up, to quote higher rates. As the demand has increased during the festival season, the traders are fleecing the public.
