Parliament and Judiciary i.e Supreme Court are two important and prominent legal bodies on which the democratic principles of the country are being governed. However the Supreme Court's verdict given on Friday and taking decision to discard the NJAC(National Judicial Appointments Commission) and upholding the two decade old collegium system has surprised many and it led to mixed reactions among political leaders. It has been reported that this could lead to a collision course between the legislature and the judiciary. Four judges of the apex court were in favour of abolishing NJAC, one judge differed.
