Telecom regulator, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), as a means of noble approach towards call drop, said that from January 1, 2016, mobile operators are bound to credit one rupee to a user's account . TRAI said that compensation to users will be made for no more than three dropped calls a day. It also said that the details regarding this will be put forwarded by service providers in the form of SMSes to customers within four hours of a call drop.
