Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed anguish over rise in students' suicides in Andhra Pradesh. He spoke to officials through teleconference from his residence. Naidu asked officials to study the reasons forcing the students to commit suicide. He directed officials concerned to take concrete measures to prevent students from committing suicide. Later, he participated in a review meeting with officials concerned over farmers' suicides. Officials told Naidu that 48 farmers have committed suicide according to NCRB report. He instructed officials to take preventive measures.
