In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian-born Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Google will collaborate with Indian Railways to provide wi-fi services at 500 stations by next year. He said, initially, the Google will provide high speed internet services at 100 busiest railway stations. During his announcement, Pichai recalled how he used to travel by Coromandal Express from Chennai to Kharagpur. Pichai noted that 25 million people travel every day through the Indian Railways, which has 7,500 stations.
