The Jurala project constructed across the River Krishna in Mahbubnagar district had filled to the brim. Officials have started hydel power generation at the project and releasing water downstream. The project reached full storage level at the end of Kharif season. The full water level of the reservoir is 318.516 metres and the present water level is 318.15 metres. While the inflow to the project is 23,000 cusecs, officials were releasing 29,000 cusecs downstream. It is the first project in both the Telugu states to reach full storage level this year.
