Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party has walked out of the RJD-JD(U) and Congress alliance in Bihar following differences over seat sharing for the ensuing Assembly polls to be held in October-November. SP, which has a negligible presence in Bihar, had been given five seats. Initially, the SP was not given any seat by the alliance and only after SP's Bihar unit raised a hue and cry, it was allotted five seats. Miffed over less allocation of seats, Samajwadi Party decided to contest alone in Bihar.
