There was a huge devotee rush on the first day of Khumba Mela, at Nasik, in Maharashtra today. Sadhus and common people, who came from all over the country, performed 'Shah Snan' in the Godavari river. Thousands of sadhus came to the Kushawata Ghat, near Triambakeshwar, early this morning and had a holy dip in the river. The Indian Railways has started special trains for the Khumba Mela.
