Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, addressing to the media, has highlighted on Sections 46, 94 and 90 of the Reorganisation Act. He said there are specific commitments in the Act with regards to the reorganisation of Andhra Pradesh. "The Prime Minister Narendra Modi was of the view that whatever is in the Act, that level of assistance has to be given to the state government," Jaitley said. He said the Vice-Chairman of the NITI Ayog Dr Arvind Panagariya has been asked to be in touch with the officers of the state government and to prepare a roadmap with regard to enforcement of each one of the three provisions of the Act. These are the commitments of the whole country towards the growth and development of Andhra Pradesh, he said. It is to be mentioned here that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu met PM Modi in Delhi on Tuesday morning. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was also there in the meeting.
