One man achieved an impossible task without keeping quiet or expecting from the government. That is Dashrath Manjhi. All alone he laid a road through a mountain from his Gehlaur village to Wazirganj block in Bihar, thus, reducing the distance from 75 km to a few kilometres. He had worked for 22 years to lay the road with only a hammer and chisel. He resolved to lay the road after he failed to take his ailing wife to hospital. Manjhi travelled to Delhi on barefoot to request President and PM to build a road to his village but his attempts failed.
