Farmers in Nalgonda district have expressed happiness at the rains in the district from the past one week. The rains are good for the dry crops, they said. The farmers had invested thousands of rupees and have sown cotton and chillie in lakhs of acres of land. But because of lack of rains after June, the crops have dried up. Some of the crops that have thrived are showing signs of growth, they said.
