A fraudster duped 72 students belonging to West Bengal to the tune of Rs 60 lakh by promising them to make them appear for the B.Ed exam conducted by the Andhra University. According to CI Bangaraju, B L Bashak is running a coaching institute in Cooch Behar district, West Bengal. Victims paid around Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 to Bashak after he gave assurance of making them to sit for the B.Ed exam. However, when students came to Eluru they found that Bashak had cheated them. Police registered a case and took up investigation.
