Film producers in regional languages are worried with Centre's Goods and Service Tax Bill. The Bill has been cleared by the Rajya Sabha and will be introduced in the Lok Sabha in the ongoing Parliament session. Once the Bill is approved then it will have an impact on the prices of movie tickets. As per the Bill, the regional films have to pay 27 per cent service tax to the government. It is certain that movie ticket prices will be increased alarmingly. The Film Federation of India is getting ready to meet PM Modi to explain the ill-effects the Bill.
