Two passenger trains derailed late on Tuesday night while crossing a bridge built across Machak river near Harda in Madhya Pradesh. Ten coaches of the Mumbai-Varansi Kamayani Express and five bogies of Jabalpur-Mumbai Janata Express have fallen into the river. Railway authorities said that the sudden flow of water on the tracks caused the derailment. It has been reported at least 24 passengers had died in the accident.
