Yakub Memon's lawyer said that he was totally disappointed and unhappy with the judgement of the Supreme Court. He said Supreme Court made a tragic mistake by delivering the judgement. However, the government lawyer said that the SC had rejected the mercy petition of Memon in May 2013. From then on, Yakub never filed a mercy petition. He said it would be grave injustice to all those people who have died in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts if stay was given on Yakub's execution.
