A new chapter has been added in the history of medical treatment. Zion Harvey, aged 8 years, made the news as he became the first child to undergo a double hand transplant. The child had undergone amputations of his feet and hands after a serious infection few years ago. But recently, a 10-hour surgery was performed on him at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. In the surgery, the hands and forearms from the donor were attached by connecting bone, blood vessels, nerves, muscles, tendons and skin and it worked.
