A simple blood test is enough to know if a person is predisposed to diabetes. Scientists at the Ramachandran Diabetes Hospital have conducted a series of experiments and upon extensive investigation, became successful in identifying a couple of diabetes 'biomarkers' in people in the pre-diabetic stage. Their study found place in the July issue of 'Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice,'. The blood test was done on 147 Indians in the age groups of 35-55 years. Scientists have suggested that with the right lifestyle changes, one can delay or prevent the disorder.
