SIT today began its inquiry into the petition against phone tapping, at Vijayawada court. Service providers however refused to give the call data details. Earlier, the Supreme Court too had said that call data details should never be revealed, they said. But the Public Prosecutor said that if call data details were not given, it would amount to contempt of court. Then the service providers requested a week's time to submit the call data. The court then adjourned the proceedings to 5 pm.
