The prices of vegetables are high in Nalgonda district. Vegetables like ladyfingers cost not less than Rs. 50 a kg. The sudden rise in prices is attributed to the rise in diesel prices. Most of the vegetables are imported from neighbouring districts. Consequent to the rise in transport charges, the rates of vegetables too have risen. One bunch of coriander costs Rs. 30!
