Prices of pulses and vegetables have risen by 50 per cent. The unseasonal rains have hit crops and hence the rise in prices. Dal which is Rs. 110 at present is likely to increase. The cost of vegetables too has risen. Traders are said to be stocking the essential goods and getting limited stock to the market. As transport tax was raised in both the Telugu states, the prices of essential commodities have risen.
