Rain water harvesting is not new. But the advantages of this scheme is hardly noticed. Unless one looks at an example, closer home. Such an exemplary colony is Padmashali colony near RTC cross roads, closer to Secunderabad. The residents there have not had water problems -- neither drying of borewells or regulation of water supply -- for the past two decades. This would have been impossible if not for rain water harvesting.
