Heavy rains in West Godavari, Guntur, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts have damaged mango crop and washed out roads. Rain in several other places in Nizamabad and Karimnagar too have destroyed poultry farms. Though there is a low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, causing rains, the south west monsoon is delayed, it is said. However, experts think that these rains are beneficial to Kharif farmers.
