Some 7,416 mt. of grain was given to 12 rice millers in Warangal district for custom milling. They should give back 68 per cent rice as levy to the government. But almost all of them defaulted on this, leading to a loss of nearly Rs. 15 cr. Warangal district joint collector Prashant Patil wrote to the district SP to recover the grain from the erring rice millers and book criminal cases against them. Officials who had failed to recover the levy rice in time were also under the needle of suspicion.
