A massive earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale hit the Nepal border with its epicentre reported to be 83 kilometres away from Kathmandu. Delhi, Patna and Calcutta along with other parts of north India witnessed tremors lasting for almost a minute. Due to the movements and pressure in the earth's crust the earthquakes are occuring. The scientists say that this fresh earthquake can be considered as the after shocks of the earthquake which occured on 25 April. The earth shook for brief periods in parts of Vijayawada and coastal AP.
