Indian online shopping giant Flipkart is going to foray into a new segment and launch selling groceries online. This Bangalore based company is targeting the other sites in this area like Snapdeal, bigbasket and even amazon. Amazon India has recently started its grocery store online. Snapdeal tied up retailer Godrej Nature's Basket in January and is selling about 400 of its products online. Sale of Groceries and its share of Indian retail market is 69%. The demand of the ration is increasing and is not seeing any down trend which might have caused Flipkart to take this opportunity.
