Offensive comments made by Janata Dal United chief Sharad Yadav on South Indian women last week created uproar in Parliament with women MPs demanding an apology from him. Yadav, however, refused to apologise claiming that he never disrespected women. Sharad Yadav described South Indian women as 'dusky with beautiful bodies' in parliament last week. He continued to debate on this and hence was asked by Union Minister Smrithi Irani to withdraw his words.
