The outer islands of Vanuatu were utterly devastated by monster cyclone that tore through the South Pacific island nation. Contact with the islands were cut off as the winds of Cyclone Pam blew with speeds of over 300 kms per hour. The major storm flattened buildings, smashed boats and washed away roads and bridges on Friday and Saturday. The human destruction caused by the cyclone is expected to be 50,000.
