In Newzealand, desperate rescue efforts have been carried out to save the lives of social, deep-water species commonly called pilot whales. Around 200 species of Whales have stranded .At Farewell spit on the northwest tip of South Island, which is the biggest whale beaching, the tragic scene surfaced. The volunteers have rushed to the spot to help the stricken creatures. Mass beachings like this are fairly common worldwide for reasons ranging from sickness to disorientation.
