The state of Andhra Pradesh was devastated by the cyclone 'Hudhud' which led to severe damage of infrastructure in four districts. PM Modi who made a visit after the cyclone announced an immediate relief package of Rs. 1000 crore. However, in a major disappointment to Andhra Pradesh government, the Centre now believes that the losses incurred by the cyclone would not be more than Rs. 680 crore. As Rs. 515 crores have already been given, only Rs. 163 crores only would be given to AP now.
