Christmas celebrations have started. Rio de Janeiro in Brazil presented the largest ever floating Christmas tree Saturday night. The giant tree was inaugurated with firework displays during an event that featured lighting of lamps and musical performances, drawing thousands of people to the lagoon. This event was to mark importance of light in people's lives, symbolized by the sun, the moon and the stars. The 280ft tall tree is illuminated by millions of lights and has been certified by the Guinness World Records as the largest of its kind in the world.
