Speculation over the TDP led AP government mulling privatization of Andhra Pradesh state road transport corporation (APSRTC) has subsided as transport minister Siddha Raghava Rao has announced that the government has not thought of privatization. Speaking to media persons on Thursday, the minister said that the government has no plans of merging APSRTC into government. He said that government has aimed to enhance the working potential of APSRTC in its present set up only. Further, he said that by March 2015, the government will purchase 1080 more buses and will form a special team to check illegal transport services.
