Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu met his Karnataka counterpart Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru on Monday. The officials and ministers of water department of both the states have participated in this meeting. Chandrababu discussed the sharing of Tungabhadra river water to Rayalaseema region.He requested the Karnataka Chief Minister to spare 32 TMCs of water from the Tungabhadra high-level canal for use by Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Chandrababu said that they have decided to approach the water board to modernise the Tungabhadra canal so that both states may avail the facilities of water.
