Villagers of a small village in Bihar had thought that their lives will suffer if they take the promises of politicians for granted. The villagers believed they must solve their problems themselves without depending on Government or politicians and became self dependent on power. Dharni is a village in Bihar which is similar to many other such villages in India where the basic amenities are a big question. The people of this village have come together and solved their power issues beside standing as a role model for other villages by arranging electricity to all houses and institutions without the support of the Government . . . .
