Producer R.K Goud has called off his 7-day hunger strike after an assurance from TRS Minister Mahinder Reddy that he would look into the issue of theater rentals and take steps to solve it. Goud launched his hunger strike seeking cancellation of the present leasing system of theaters. The main issue raised by Ramakrishna Goud is that theaters are not made available for small budget films. The situation turned tense at Film Chamber of Hyderabad office today as the supporters of Ramakrishna Goud gathered in large numbers demanding abolition of the present system of renting theaters.
