A new controversy is encircling AP and Telangana governments. The two states are fighting over the issue of power generation and water storage in Srisailam Project. The AP Govt is asking TS government to stop the generation of left bank power station. The TS govt has made it clear that it cannot stop power generation due to severe power crisis in Telangana. It says that there is plenty of water in the project and AP government's stance is not justifiable. On the other hand, AP Government argues that due to less rainfall, water level in the project has gone down and if power generation continues this could hamper drinking water for available for Rayalaseema.
