As former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa got bail from Supreme Court in disproportionate assets case, she will be released from Bangalore Central Prison today. Bail orders reached the Prison authorities late on Friday and she could not be released yesterday. Along with the AIADMK chief, other three convicts have also been granted bail and would be released from jail. Jayalalitha approached supreme court for bail on health grounds and also prayed for cancellation of her sentence issued by the trial court. Constitutional experts Ram Jetmalani and FS Nariman argued the case on her behalf in Supreme Court.
