BJP leader Subramanyan Swamy, speaking after Supreme Court granted bail to Jayalalithaa, said the issue on which bail was considered is that the Karnataka High court has not yet decided on the question of suspending her sentence. Her apeal over this is pending in Karnataka High Court and must be heard expeditiously. SC laid down a time line of Dec 18 when all the papers necessary for the appeal by Ms. Jayalalithaa and her associates running into over 35,000 pages should be filed before the supreme court. Once they file the papers, the High Court will hear the matter and will come to a conclusion. The court has given conditional bail on the ground she is not well and she will stay at house and not go out or will receive visitors.
