More than 1,000 new RTC buses in new colours will soon ply on the roads in Telangana. A decision in this regard was taken by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at a review meeting with Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, Transport Commissioner Jagadish and senior officials on Thursday. Later, it was announced that an amount of Rs. 150 Cr will be allotted to the RTC. Nearly 400 new buses will ply in rural areas while another 100 will be express buses for use on city roads. KCR said that Government will soon regularize the employment of contract drivers and conductors working in Telangana RTC.
