North Andhra is slowly recovering from Hudhud effect and returning to normalcy. Steps are being taken at a brisk pace to restore the battered infrastructure in Visakhapatnam and other cyclone-hit districts in coastal Andhra Pradesh, apart from ensuring supply of essential commodities. Electricity supply was restored in most parts of the city and electricians and other personnel from other districts are being moved to Visakhapatnam to fully resume power supply. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been camping in the city and other cyclone-hit districts to oversee relief operations, has made sure that essential commodities are given free at all fair price shops in cyclone-affected districts. Overall, the collective effort of Vizag people in boldly facing situation and helping themselves has also contributed a lot to bring back normalcy.
