Tech giant IBM launches new email service ‘Verse’

Wed, Nov 19, 2014, 03:02 PM
New Delhi, Nov 19: Technology giant IBM is set to launch a new e-mail application named ‘Verse’ for enterprises that integrates file sharing, analytics and social media to boost productivity.

The new service stems from IBM’s $100 million investment in design innovation and adds layers of analytics, social media and security to the application as staff can access emails, file sharing, calendars, instant messaging, video chats and social updates through a single platform.

It is the first messaging system to feature ‘faceted search’, which enables users to pinpoint and retrieve specific information they are seeking across all the various types of content within their email.

The company will first launch the beta version, while a free version will be available from the first quarter of 2015.
