Spruce up Siddipet for TS celebrations: Harish
Hyderabad, May.21: Minister for Irrigation & Marketing T Harish Rao today said the State government will celebrate Telangana State formation day on June 2 on a grand manner.
Harish Rao said elaborate arrangements will be made for the same at all districts. During morning walk in Siddipet, Harish Rao asked the officials to spruce up the district headquarters for the mega event. He also instructed them to complete beautification works of Komati Cheruvu and others before June 2. He asked the Municipal Commissioner and Chairman to give facelift to Siddipet for the historic event.
The minister also made a visit to some of the lakes in the area and sought to know about the beautification works of Narsapur lake taken at a cost of Rs 3 crore under Mission Kakatiya program. Harish Rao also visited Komati Cheruvu in Siddipet and inspected beautification works being taken up. He directed the municipal officials to acquire land for setting up a park near Komati Cheruvu and allot space for parking.
The minister also made a visit to public cemetery on the Siddipet- Karimnagar road and instructed the officials to provide better facilities. A memorial park will be set up at the cemetery area, he added.
