Two held for pirating Bahubali-2, Rajamouli thanks Telangana police

Hyderabad, May.20: Thanking the police for arresting the culprits, who tried to pirate Bahubali-2 film, cine director SS Rajamouli and producer Shobu Yarlagadda have said some persons threatened Arka Media by saying that they would keep the film in net in case they failed to pay Rs 15 lakh.

Speaking to the media after meeting the CCS and Cyber crime police here on Saturday, Rajamouli said the police caught the culprits taking pains. He said the culprits also threatened Hindi producer Karan Johar demanding money and later they called upon the Arka Media office. Rajamouli explained that Cyber crime police arrested six culprits, who downloaded cinema from the server of the theatre located at Bigusarai near Patna (Bihar capital).

Rajamouli said the Bihar police did not cooperate in the arrest of the culprits; but the State police detained the culprits successfully. He said the pirates were pirating the films even though the film industry was taking several precautionary measures. He demanded that the police initiate stringent action against the pirates. Rajamouli and Shobu met ACP Raghuveer and DCP Avinash Mahanthi.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghuveer said they detained culprits and they were in jail. The Police were interrogating the culprits to know the information about the piracy they did in the past.
