Hyderabad, Aug.30: Demanding Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary to initiate action against the defected MLAs of the Congress party immediately, Congress Party Whip in Telangana Legislative Assembly, Sampath Kumar served ‘Dasti Notices’ to the defected Congress MLAs—K Yadaiah, Kanakaiah, Vittal Reddy and Redya Naik. Sampath also served ‘Dasti Notice’ to Speaker Madhusudhana Chary asking him to respond on the defected MLAs immediately.

Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Tuesday after the House adjourned, Alampur MLA Sampath Kumar alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was encouraging political prostitution by luring the MLAs of other political parties to join TRS party. The Speaker was not initiating any action against the defected MLAs though the Court suggested the Speaker to respond to it.

Sampath Kumar approached the Supreme Court on defected MLAs. The Apex Court has allowed Sampath to serve “Dasti Notices’ to the concern MLAs and the Speaker. Sampath, after convening the House on GST Bill ratification, went to Redya Naik, Yadaiah, Kanakaiah and Vittal Reddy directly and handed over the notices to them. Sampath also went to the Speaker and given the same.

Sampath said that as per ‘Dasti Notice,' the persons who received have to respond within three weeks. “Otherwise, the Court would take its decision on defected MLAs using its powers”, Sampath said demanding the Speaker to make the defected MLAs tender their resignation immediately or else the Speaker has to use the Anti-defection Law against them and make them ineligible.
