Bhatti ridicules celebrations over “Maha” agreement

Thu, Aug 25, 2016, 07:37 PM
Hyderabad, Aug.25: Expressing shock at the TRS party celebrations at Begumpet Airport on August 24, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to tell whether the Chief Minister succeeded in increasing the height of the Thummidihatti project.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Bhatti said Maharashtra people deserve to celebrate but not the Telangana people. “The Chief Minister failed to get the 3000 acre land from the Maharashtra government to construct the Thummidihatti project at the height of 152 meters. But the Chief Minister succeeded in giving two lakh acres in seven mandals to Polavaram project”, he said pointing out that the KCR failed in both ways.

Alleging that KCR’s government was family limited company, Bhatti said KCR was betraying the Telangana people by changing the name of Dr BR Ambedkar Srujala Sravanthi Pranahitha-Chevella project in the name of redesigning. “KCR dishonored Dr BR Ambedkar by changing the name of the project”, he charged. Ridiculing the Chief Minister’s challenge thrown at Begumpet Airport, Bhatti said that KCR lowered the status of Chief Minister’s position. “KCR’s betrayal is curse for Telangana people”, he described.

Pointing out that the Congress party launched the Thummidihatti project with the height of 152 meters and hence then Maharashtra Chief Minister addressed an objectionable letter to the then United Andhra Pradesh State. Stating that KCR’s betrayal on irrigation projects on Godavari River will go into the annals of the history, Bhatti said that there was a hidden conspiracy behind the scene. He made it clear that the Congress party will construct the same project at the height of 152 meters saying that the Andhra Pradesh government was constructing the Polavaram project not with the permission of KCR but with their will.
