Govt not considering our suggestions on new districts: BJP

Related image Hyderabad, Aug.24: The BJP today alleged that the TRS government has not taken the suggestions made in the all-party meeting held on districts reorganization.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, BJP leaders Dr. S Malla Reddy, Meesala Chandraiah and Bokka Narsimha Reddy said it was sad the Committee has forgotten the facts told by the Chief Minister. The government has not taken the fact that all political parties opposed the creation of Hanamkonda district. The political parties also opposed the inclusion of Shadnagar in Shamshabad district.

The TRS government has divided Assembly constituencies where it was weak, and the same government didn’t touch the Assembly constituencies where they were strong. The government included some mandals in other districts forcefully. For example, the government included Husnabad mandal in Siddipet instead of Karimnagar. The government failed to consider the plea of all political parties to name Sammakka Sarakka and Konda Laxman Bapuji’s after new districts.

Alleging that the Chief Minister failed to stick to his word that he has agreed to increase the number of mandals in Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts, the BJP leaders pointed out that the government has increased only five mandals in Ranga Reddy district though 46 new mandals established across the State.

It was a great injustice that the government abolished Hayathnagar Mandal, once it was a black (Panchayathi Samithi), they alleged and demanded the Chief Minister to organize all-party meetings on district reorganization at the district level.
