TRS govt misleading even HC: Ravula

Sat, Aug 06, 2016, 07:17 PM
Hyderabad, Aug.6: TDP senior leader and politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy today alleged that the TRS government was trying to even mislead the High Court.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Ravula said when the displaced persons are giving their land voluntarily as claimed by the government, then what was the reason to promulgate prohibitory orders, lathi-charge and firing in the air. Even displaced persons have to take court permission to visit their villages. Was it not the government misleading the court by stating that farmers are coming forward to give their land for the project? He alleged that the government itself was supporting its acts by telling the court that it would rehabilitate hundreds of landless labourers and artisans, who part with their land.

On what ground GO 123 was more suitable compared to Land Acquisition Act of 2013. There is no word of rehabilitation in GO 123, he pointed out and said the government which approached the court seeking to review the single judge order should withdraw its controversial GO 123. The TDP leader urged the Prime Minister, who is visiting the State on Sunday to advise the Chief Minister to respect the law enacted by Parliament, respect the parliamentary democracy and not to make any adverse comment against the judiciary.
