Hyderabad, Aug.2: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has urged Governor ESL Narasimhan to make the State government order a CBI inquiry into the EAMCET-II paper leakage instead of CID probe and dismiss the Medical & Health Minister and Higher Education Minister along with Higher Education Council chairman to see that the inquiry would be held transparently.

TPCC leaders N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, DK Aruna, Ponnam Prabhakar, M Ranga Reddy, G Prasada Kumar, M Kodanda Reddy, Guduru Narayana Reddy and others met the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum in this regard.

They explained to the Governor that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who used to say that he would not tolerate corruption, was least bothered about the welfare of 50,000 students and cancelled EAMCET-II examination. Doubting on government’s sincerity in conducting EAMCET-III examination, they said nobody owned the responsibility of paper leakage and several crores of rupees changed hands in the episode.

Expressing doubts on assigning the job of conducting EAMCET to private IT Company, the Congress leaders asked the government to tell as to why it was printed two question papers in Kapoor Printing Press,Delhi. They alleged that the government was behaving negligently in initiating action against the ministers and Higher Education and JNTUH officials. They alleged that Rs 100-crore transactions took place in the leakage episode.
